“If we don’t sacrifice for what we want, then what we want becomes the sacrifice.”
I heard this quote a few days ago and have been noodling on it ever since. I’m not sure what to make of it yet.

Unlearning.
“When we don’t unlearn the past, we can’t start something new.”
This quote has me thinking. My first thought is that I can totally start something new without unlearning. My next thought is the Albert Einstein quote; “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”. Aha. I get it. I have been on that hamster wheel before!

I invite you to think about this concept for a moment. What I believe Henderson means, is that when we plant a seed and give someone love, attention, support, opportunities, etc. and don’t anticipate receiving anything back, that this is actually what it means to be alive. Do you think about this? Does this cause a cringy feeling in your gut? Does it delight you?

Hello everyone! This blog is a new project I am embarking on and I’m thrilled to have you along for the ride. I’ve decided to be more active about sharing my process, inspiration, and day to day experiences that form the foundation of Texture Clothing.
I travel a lot, which is how I test out my designs and discover new ways I could solve common problems we run into on the road. Customers frequently send in their own innovative solutions and customizations that I’d love to put in the spotlight. The community I have discovered through my work is full of bright, exciting people with tremendous lives that are a joy to share, so I hope you will continue to send me your photos and stories!
