sacrificing

“If we don’t sacrifice for what we want, then what we want becomes the sacrifice.”

I heard this quote a few days ago and have been noodling on it ever since. I’m not sure what to make of it yet.

I start with the belief that my dharma is written on my heart. I also have the understanding that each experience in my life has shaped me to be the person I am today. Every step, easy or tough, has helped to lay the foundation for who I am today.

Then I begin to think that perhaps identifying what I want is the next step, and I wonder what obstacles are getting in the way. Low self-confidence? Time management? A need to numb past trauma?

Anyways, I’m going to keep pondering. I invite you to leave a comment with your thoughts if this has made you think as well!

May we find things to be grateful for today. May our passions become clear to us, and may we have the courage to step out of our comfort zone in order to learn and grow.

From my heart to yours,

Teresa.
